Members Trip to Briddlesford Copse, I.O.W. Thursday 18th July 2019
This trip is for Hampshire Dormouse Group members, to the PTES reserve Briddlesford Copse, on the Isle of Wight. This is a great opportunity to get some experience in checking dormouse boxes and potentially handling dormice if they are present on the day.
Cost (including transport from Cowes): £30.

We’ll be at the Wildlife Day at Fleet Pond with our HDG stand. Please come and say hello, ask questions about training and events, learn about dormice and make a pom pom dormouse or dormouse mask to take home! Hope to see you there!
Dormouse Ecology and Conservation Training Course- April 2019
Hampshire Dormouse Group are holding a training event for members and non members this April on dormouse ecology and conservation. This event will take place over two evenings, and will cover relevant legislation, dormouse identification and life cycles, as well as survey techniques, dormouse conservation and habitat management.

Dormouse Ecology and Conservation Training Course 2017
HDG will be running a training course on dormouse ecology and conservation this November over two evenings at Sparshlot College near Winchester on Monday 27th November and Tuesday 28th November. It will be an ideal course for those with either a general interest in dormice as well as those looking to work towards their dormice handling licence. New Forest and Hampshire County Show – 26-28th July 2016
Dear Members
The next event that the HDG information stand will be appearing at will be the New Forest Show 2016. If anyone would like to help on the stand talking to the general public about dormouse and our work, plus all the fun of making pompom dormouse your time would be greatly appreciated. To encourage members and assist with possible costs/expenses the committee is willing to compensate members up to £25 per day for their commitment. Plus, free entry (full adult price £20) to the show ground.

Briddlesford Dormouse Weekend – 21/22 May 2016
The next dormouse check at Briddlesford Reserve on the Isle of Wight is on the 21st/22nd May.
It is a great opportunity to gain dormouse survey experience and an enjoyable weekend in the woodland.
Would any unlicensed members of the HDG like to come?
There would be costs for food, accommodation and travel but the weekend itself is free.
This is a rare opportunity as spaces are usually booked up well in advance, so please let us know if you are interested in coming along via the contact us page.
