We are currently developing flyers and posters for the group. We would love you to send us your favourite photos of dormice! If you have any high-quality photos that you would like to be used please complete the form below.
It was great to see some of you at the AGM last week.
Thank you to those of you who have sent me your sites data already. As mentioned, I will be including an update on our sites for the next newsletter, so please can those of you that monitor sites, and haven’t already done so, email me a summary of your records. Ideally for both 2014 and 2015 and by month, if possible.
It would also be good to have any photos / stories or anything else you’d like to offer.
I thought it might also be interesting to do a “close-up” on a site each newsletter, so members can have an insight into what’s happening there. So if anyone monitoring a site is willing to put something together for the February newsletter, let me know.
Thanks for reading!
Hampshire Dormouse Group
One of our dormouse monitors at Briddlesford Woods is trying to raise some money for PTES www.ptes.org by walking the West Highland Way.
Please support her if you are able and pass onto other possible interested parties
Hampshire Dormouse Group is a voluntary group, run by and for volunteers, but we do not have charitable status. We fundraise at the public events we attend, and are always looking for new ways to raise money to support the group’s activities within dormouse conservation in Hampshire. The money we raise through fundraising and membership fees goes towards a range of items and activities, including purchasing box checking kits for licenced dormouse monitors; producing leaflets for the public and landowners about the group and about dormice; providing materials for public engagement work we carry out; and paying for the group’s insurance.
If you would like to donate any money to the group, or you have any suggestions for how we could raise funds in the future on our limited resources, please contact usthrough this website – we would be very pleased to hear from you.
