Hampshire and Isle of Wight County Dormouse Survey

Would you like to be involved in dormouse conservation in Hampshire?

Would you like to be involved in a pioneering County survey, by looking at your local patch?

Would you like to gain experience of a new survey methodology, using footprint tunnels?

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight County Dormouse Survey needs your help!

We have developed a systematic survey of the two Counties, using footprint tunnels in hedgerows, which do not require a dormouse licence to check for dormouse presence. Footprint tunnels need to be in place for up to 6 weeks, or until dormouse presence is confirmed.

Get Involved!

We need volunteers to take part who have hedgerows to survey and landowner permissions in place.

We also need help with the coordination and running of the project.

If either of the above interest you, please email hantsdormousesurvey@gmail.com for more information. Please state the grid reference of the hedgerow you have permission to survey when emailing us.
